Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center Earns 2025 AHCA/NCAL Bronze National Quality Award
National award signifies a formal commitment to continuous improvement in quality care
Holden, MA — Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center, an Oriol Health Care facility, has been recognized as a 2025 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). This prestigious national distinction acknowledges the facility’s steadfast commitment to enhancing the lives of residents through quality care and continuous improvement.
The Bronze Award is the first of three progressive levels in the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which honors long-term and post-acute care providers nationwide for their dedication to excellence in quality care for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
“For more than 60 years, Oriol Health Care has been a family-owned and operated organization rooted in this community, and our team at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing continues to live our mission of providing exceptional, person-centered care,” said Tara D’Andrea, MBA, NHA, FACHCA, Director of Operations and Administrator of Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center. “Earning this national recognition affirms our culture of excellence and our commitment to continuous quality improvement. We are proud to serve our residents and their families with compassion, integrity, and professionalism—‘our family taking care of yours.’”
The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a rigorous, multi-level assessment process judged by trained examiners using the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program criteria. At the Bronze level, providers must develop an organizational profile that includes their mission, vision, key customers, and strengths and challenges, while demonstrating a foundational performance improvement system.
As a Bronze award recipient, Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center is now eligible to advance to the Silver – Achievement in Quality level.
“Receiving this award marks the beginning of an exciting journey towards excellence,” said Cathy Bergland, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board Chair. “Congratulations to Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center for this significant achievement. I encourage you to take some time to celebrate and continue striving for higher levels of quality and performance.”
The 2025 National Quality Awards will be presented during Delivering Solutions 25, the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo, taking place October 19–22, 2025, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 2025 National Quality Award Program is sponsored by AHCA/NCAL Associate Business Members: HealthCap, McKesson, Rosie, Incite Workforce Solutions Powered by SnapCare, and Prevail by First Quality.
