The Oriol Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including, but not limited to, enriching the lives of those who deliver this care, promoting wellness, and stimulating innovations in health care so all may live more independently and safely wherever they call home in the Wachusett community.

Eugene L. Oriol Memorial Scholarships

We believe in the power of education and community support. The Annual Eugene Oriol Scholarships are awarded to deserving individuals in the community and our team members. These scholarships are designed to:

  • Support continuing education and professional development.
  • Encourage community members to pursue careers in healthcare.
  • Foster a spirit of giving back and community involvement.

Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion

The Oriol Foundation Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion is a community-focused initiative designed to support programs that create more inclusive, accessible environments for individuals living with neurological conditions.

This grant helps schools, organizations, and public-serving groups reduce barriers and promote meaningful participation for individuals of all abilities—supporting a stronger, more connected community.

The Oriol Foundation Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion

2026 Grant Recipient

We are proud to recognize Mountview Middle School as the first recipient of the Oriol Foundation Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion.

Mountview’s proposal focused on supporting students in its Therapeutic Learning Center (TLC) through the addition of sensory tools and resources that help students regulate, refocus, and fully engage in both specialized and general education settings.

This initiative reflects the Foundation’s mission to promote inclusion, accessibility, and opportunity across the communities we serve.

What the Grant Supports

The Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion supports a wide range of initiatives, including:

  • Sensory-friendly tools and resources
  • Communication supports and visual aids
  • Quiet spaces and cognitive rest areas
  • Inclusive program design and accessibility improvements
  • Training and education to support neurodiverse individuals

These enhancements help create environments where individuals feel supported, included, and able to participate fully.

The grant is intended to reduce participation barriers for individuals with conditions such as:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Epilepsy, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s and Dementia, ALS, MS, Stroke Recovery, and other neurological diagnoses.

Who Can Apply

Eligible applicants include:

  • Registered nonprofits
  • Schools and senior centers
  • Community organizations
  • Town programs and other public-serving entities

Applicants must be located in or serve communities within the Wachusett Region, including Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, Sterling, Boylston, and West Boylston.

The Oriol Foundation is proud to launch this grant as the first of what we plan to be an annual initiative.
