The Oriol Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes including, but not limited to, enriching the lives of those who deliver this care, promoting wellness, and stimulating innovations in health care so all may live more independently and safely wherever they call home in the Wachusett community.

Eugene L. Oriol Memorial Scholarships

We believe in the power of education and community support. The Annual Eugene Oriol Scholarships are awarded to deserving individuals in the community and our team members. These scholarships are designed to:

  • Support continuing education and professional development.
  • Encourage community members to pursue careers in healthcare.
  • Foster a spirit of giving back and community involvement.

Eugene L. Oriol Memorial Scholarship – Team Member

This scholarship has been created to assist any current Oriol Health Care employee that works a minimum of 20 hours per week that wishes to begin or advance in the nursing field.

The Oriol family is proud to offer this scholarship to a graduating senior from the Wachusett District towns, Boylston or West Boylston that will be pursuing a degree in health care.

The Oriol Foundation Grant for Neurological Inclusion

Accessibility Grant for Neurological Inclusion

The Oriol Foundation is proud to launch its first community grant initiative designed to improve accessibility and inclusion for individuals living with neurological conditions. This pilot grant program provides funding to help organizations make public events, spaces, and services more welcoming and inclusive for all.

Program Overview

  • Focused on accessibility enhancements for community programming
  • Supports inclusion across all age groups and neurological conditions
  • Aligned with the Foundation’s mission to improve wellness, support caregivers, and foster connected communities
What the Grant Supports

Funding may be used for:

  • Sensory-friendly tools and materials
  • Communication and mobility supports
  • Adaptive recreational or educational programming
  • Staff and volunteer training
  • Inclusive layouts and accessibility accommodations

The grant is intended to reduce participation barriers for individuals with conditions such as:
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Epilepsy, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s and Dementia, ALS, MS, Stroke Recovery, and other neurological diagnoses.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include:

  • Registered nonprofits
  • Schools and senior centers
  • Community organizations
  • Town programs and other public-serving entities
  • Programs and events must be accessible to the general public and occur during the 2026 calendar year.

Key Dates

  • Application Deadline: November 14, 2025
  • Notification of Awards: December 15, 2025
  • Program Funding Year: January 1 – December 31, 2026

The Oriol Foundation Health & Wellness Expo is our annual community event dedicated to promoting wellness, education, and support across the Wachusett Region.
